So here's a little background on me. I'm a DO student in a lecture style systems based curriculum. I've usually done very well on standardized test but I'm your Joe Average, 50th percentile usually around the mean or slightly above it student. Haven't really started studying hardcore for boards but I've read through micro made ridiculously simple and absorbed as much as I could. I've started listening to the Goljan lectures which are amazing and did about 200 USMLE Step I Q-bank questions.
Here's the bad news, I'm @ 45% or so on these questions. I feel that some of them are just nitpicky biochem/anatomy stuff that I've heard of, new at some time, forgot now and just have to restudy to to get. Then there's another 20% of the questions that I feel, I've never heard of or can't even figure out what's going on or where they get it from. Do any other DO students have this problem? How bout MD students? Do you guys find yourselvs lost or feel that you haven't covered a lot of the board relevant information.
Responses are appreciated b/c I can't be the only one who feels this way right?!?!
