Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is also consolidating the list of schools that they are applying to. Last time I sent out around 20 apps, but this time I think I am going to reduce a little and apply more broadly. My stats are pretty good-- 36 mcat and 3.7 gpa, with some good ECs (I think).

I am very intent on staying in an urban area but am not terribly into research. So here is my list of schools I am thinking of applying to:
To Apply:

New York:
1. Albert Einstein
2. Mount Sinai
3. Columbia
4. Cornell
5. New York Medical College
6. SUNY Downstate

California
7. UCLA
8. UCSF
9. UCSD
10. Loma Linda
11. Keck

Other
12. OHSU
13. Northwestern
14. George Washington
15. Georgetown
16. University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.

Any suggestions/additions would be welcomed!! I am not sure if I am applying to broad enough range of schools...

THANKS!!!!

UCSF and Columbia are going to be uber-competitive. It's fine to have some dream schools, though.

Personally, if applying a 2nd time I'd probably apply to more schools, not less, but that is just me. Your list isn't silly or anything, but IMHO I'd probably add a few more schools.
