Hello altruists,

I am a new permanent resident of USA. I have a Bachelor of Pharmacy (4 years) degree (CGPA 3.45 by WES) from India. I also have a masters in pharmaceutical science from a USA university (CGAP - 3.71). I am very much interested to become an MD.

1) Am I eligible for MCAT?
2) If I am eligible, then can I sit for MCAT on April 1st and catch fall 2016?
3) I have a family. How can I support my family during 4 year of medical study?

Thank you advance for your kind reply :)

1) There's nothing prohibiting you from taking the MCAT. You don't have to be a U.S. citizen to do so.

2) What do you mean by "catch"? You can sit for the April 1st MCAT if you can still find an open seat for it.

3) Does your wife have a job? It is difficult to support a family during medical school if the other spouse doesn't work, but I've seen people make it work when one spouse works.
