I wanted to ask what you guys think my chances are since im applying late already. I have a 3.72 GPA with a 3.8 +- science GPA, DAT scores of 20 AA/ 21 TS/ 21 PAT but a 16 in QR. Have Shadowed an Endo for 30 Hours and a General Dentist for 60. My dad is an Orthodontist and I have been working with him for a year. Only like 12 hours of Community service 🙁. Raised in Central America and Came to florida 3 years ago. Im applying to UF, Nova, NYU, BU, Tuffts, Columbia and UPEN.

I still havent sent my application ! Planing on doing it no later than next week. I wanted to see your opinions, am I good enough even with the late application? thanks for your time guys!

you're a strong applicant, you should apply. if you feel like your CS hours are low, commit to some more hours and then jot that down on the app.

hurry up though, it is starting to get onto the verge of being late.

I think they want only what you have done already. I would write it on your supplementals and incorporate it in your short answers to make it seem like you're a stronger applicant.

Oh, another thing is that I dont think My LORs are that hot, I dont know any of my teachers 🙁

I fit in my application that I would by the end of the school year I would have completed 70+ more hours in observing in a clinic...I am sure you can do the same for community service.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I just need to finish my personal statement and send it to some friends and teachers for opinions. Im sure Ill have it done by next week.

So I submited my application yesterday the 9th of August. I still have to get my LOR'S though 🙁. Im geting 2 next week and 1 in 2 weeks. Will this delay me more?

Don't worry tooo much about it, just get them in as soon as possible. You and I have about the same stats....my file was complete only in JANUARY ..I applied to 5 schools.... I got 3 interviews...and 2 acceptances. Obviously Im not saying wait until January...but get them in as soon as possible, and don't lose sleep over it. 🙂 Good Luck!
