hi,

Ok, so can someone please confirm whether or not this is how the AMCAS grade calculator works?

If you go to a school that only gives out plain A's, B's and etc., then AMCAS will go and recalculate your GPA for you.

BUT if you go to a school which does A, A-, B+, B, B-, etc then the GPA you see right now is what AMCAS will calculate right?!!! So in other words, my GPA shouldn't change at all should it since my university goes by the +\- system????

Thank you!!!!

AMCAS won't recalculate either of those. Your GPA is your GPA. The only thing AMCAS will change is if you have retake grades. They will count both grades while your institution may only count the most recent

Oh wow!!!! Okay thank you!

Your cumulative GPA should be the same. Your science one however can vary from what you calculate because they have different criteria for what constitutes a science course and what doesn't (outside of the obvious prereqs).
