I am wondering that since I have already submitted my application and AMCAS has received my transcripts and I am in line to be reviewed, can I still add schools to my list without being knocked to the back of the line? I just want to make sure that adding schools for my application to be sent to will not change anything dealing with my application, besides where it is sent to. I have asked this before, but wanted to make sure before I change anything.

Yes, you are correct. Adding schools does not change your application. Also, you keep the same place in line. (I had this same question and called AMCAS to make sure!)

Thanks, I have been trying to get an answer for this question ever since I submitted. I even e-mailed AMCAS with the question but instead they replied to my e-mail with directions on adding schools to the app.

No problem! Gotta love AMCAS, right?

For those who are still trying to get verified, are there and decent schools that have a shot at considering rolling admission and all? Please name a few privates, a friend is in an uneasy situstion.

Most of them do, check an MSAR for deadlines and interview schedules.

Do you think schools with December deadlines (for secondaries) are worth applying to if you haven't been verified yet and probably won't be for another month??

yes... still apply to those schools with december 1 secondary deadlines. it seems that at least some schools have a policy that they will extend the deadline depending on the date they send you the secondary app. you can always call or email individual schools to find out. it is the date that you submitted your amcas that counts for the primary deadline, not the date it is verified. so, you may be rushed, but it is possible.

i was concerned about the same thing, so i called a school last week.
