Hi,

I was wondering if you are able to send in your AMCAS application prior to receiving your mcat scores. It says it takes 4-6 weeks to process your application. So I was hoping I could send it in early and then just update it as soon as I get my mcat scores in. I know you can do this with the aacomas however I am not too familiar with the rules of the amcas.

I'm not sure if you can, but you'll recieve your scores by mid-June anyway. So if you wait to receive your scores it won't make any difference in terms of gaining an advantage by applying early. As long as you're in by the end of June you're golden.

YES, YES, and YES! not only that, you can also submit your SECONDARY applications prior to receiving your scores... i.e. if you are taking the MCAT in august, you can submit your AMCAS in june you get your secondaries in by july or august. don't wait for your scores--they will be sent to schools when they're released.

Thank you all very much for the responses. I will be taking the August MCAT so I want to have everything done so my application is complete 3minutes after receiving my scores.
