So, my physiology course is half lecture and half PBL. Basically, our instructor made us buy a lab book to do lab simulations in. We never actually went into the lab, just did 9 of the labs out of the book, about one per week, minus the weeks that we had tests.

My question is, when I go to put this on the AMCAS, do I say it had a lab component, even though we didn't do anything in an actual lab?

if the course's description is +lab, then yes. even if you're not in an actual lab, it sounds like it's still lab experience.

Yah, it all depends on what the transcript says really. If the official course name makes no mention of the lab, and the little blurb about the class doesn't say it, then AMCAS might take issue.
