Hi everyone I have a quick question about the AMCAS GPA calculation. My school is on the half-step letter grade system (A, AB, B, BC...etc). Does AMCAS adjust for different grading scales? For example if I get an AB, I get 3.5 grade points. My friend at a different university gets an A- and that is worth 3.7 grade points. Even though we get the same percentage in a class (92%), he is awarded 0.2 more grade points.
Does AMCAS inflate my GPA/ deflate his GPA to make it equal?
Thanks!
