Does AMCAS calculate grades simply by taking the number of credit hours per class without counting what school the class was taken? For example, I did undergrad at Illinois Wesleyan University, took a bunch of classes at a community college, and now am doing a post-bacc at Loyola University Chicago. Would a three credit hour class from the community college hold the same weight as a three credit hour class from the other schools strictly for GPA purposes?
Also, I took Business Statistics in undergrad and it is considered an Econ course but would it be considered in BCPM calculation?
Thanks

I also have a question regarding AMCAS grades. I've been told that classes that are retaken simply averaged together? So does that mean med schools wont see the original grade, they will see both, or just the average of the two

Thanks

They'll see both grades.

Yea, I was meaning to ask that question too. My freshman year I took chemistry 101 and got a C. That's when I changed majors. I took it again as a post-bacc and got an A. Does that count as one B or 1 A + 1 C?
