My school uses a A BA B CB C DC D ....
grading scale what would a BA convert to on the AMCAS's grade scale?
This really sucks if it goes lower than a 3.5 because that is what our school sets a BA at. My BA would have been a A- which on the AMCAS's scale Iam sure would have been higher than a BA. *shrugs* I think the people who get the worse grades some how always come out of it better than the people who actually get the A- versus the B+. We have argued with the school and they won't accept a normal grading scale. They say that the "grade inflation" helps those who get the lower grades. Thanks in advance for the answer

It sounds like you're describing what AMCAS calls "Grading System Type: ABCD/F with Halfstep Grades (AB, BA, etc)."

If so, your BAs (AMCAS grade = "AB") are 3.5. You can see more on page 3 of the AMCAS GRADE CONVERSION GUIDE

Just for future reference, what if you went to 2 different schools with 2 different grading systems?

THanks! for the link 🙂

You specify a grading system per school on AMCAS. They do a pretty good job of unifying grades from different grading systems into a single average.
