AMCAS has begun processing??

i just want everyone to know my application process in case this helps anyone.
I filed on 7/1
called that week to make sure everything is ok
this week my mcat scores were placed in
this week also my grades and classes were checked
i submit back to amcas today
my last name is z
despite all this, they still Fu*** up my application. they released my scores for one mcat that i had not released. stupid. anyone else this has happened to?
anyway, I hope this helps. hang in there everyone. we shall all become mds soon and I truly hope that one day I get someone who had worked in AMCAS in my office. cuz i will give them the same half ass treatment plus a fat ass bill. i cant wait, if your reading this AMCAS, "YOUR ASS IS MINDE"

You may have already seen this on the printed AMCAS:
5. Academic Record: AMCAS will verify your academic information using the following symbols:
/- any course verified without correction;
X- any course verified with correction;
O- any course listed on the Academic Record but not reflected on an official transcript; format corrections were not required;
(looks like a circle with an x in the middle)- any course listed on the Academic Record but not reflected on an official transcript; format corrections have been made;
(looks like an / with a dash through the middle)- a type of coursework not meant to be verified.
Sorry for the descriptions, but the symbols didn't copy. Again, it is at the end of the printed AMCAS (at least mine!)

hello all,
i just called amcas this morning and they told me that my application has been recieved but that it will take 4-6 weeks to process it!!!!!????? after pouring through many things on interviewfeedback and here, i pretty much have realized that most of the office type poeple give out a lot of different info that seems to apply to some and not to others or something like that, it just seems that not one source with this type of info is too reliable, so there probably is not a lot to do besides making sure that they have your application. i was also told that i would not get a submital verification until my application is sent (4-6 weeks from now?) and my credit card has not been billed. what a pain, but what is one to do? hope all is well.

now on my application, there is a button that says change notification process. There is no mare "certification/transmission."

Yup, me. I am furious over this and I can't ever get through to AMCAS without hours of holding! How do I go about correcting this?
I called AMCAS on Friday asking about the processing situation with my application. I know that some people on this board have had their applications processed but submitted after me. I wanted to make sure there wasn't something wrong with my app. I submitted June 22nd.
The lady said she would try to check to see that my application was in que to be processed but was unable to do so. The lady said they do process applications in the order they were submitted. She left my name and info with the head of the department that verifies applications and told me that I would be contacted about the situation within a couple of days.
Nothing was done to my application yesturday, but I got the certification "button change" this morning stating that my application was either processed or in the middle of being processed.
I took this as really good news. Has a similar situation happened to anyone else?

same here, sc--i submitted june 24th and no changes on my printed app (except for the presence of MCAT scores) took place until just now, when i looked at my app and also noticed the 'change notification process' button. but no progress on grade verification, it seems. i sent in my two transcripts in early may and had been told by AMCAS they were both received. there's no way that apps are being processed in the order they're being received! 😡

i checked my amcas application, and i found out that they deleted one of the colleges i attended, coursework and everything. has anyone else experienced this.

i had the same thing happen with my app. i got an email saying that they inadvertently deleted like 12 schools from everybodies list and that they were working to fix that, i had about 5 or 6 of those schools on my list, but that was before i submited. i went back into my app and added that stuff and then submitted, but i have no idea where i stand in the whole process now. i imagine that you could send an email, but i have not gotten one personal reply back from any of my emails . . . 😀

From what we can tell, me and Scooby's applications (at least the coursework) were mailed to Michigan.

Well, I noticed something new in my app today. I don't know who else is reapplying this year, but today in my 'Designated Schools' area, all my previous applications are listed by year - yet still no symbols in my coursework, and they definitely have all my transcripts.

Just got an email from AMCAS stating that my application has officially completed the verification process.
Only took them 3 weeks after the fact to notify me too 🙄

i think i'm going to cry....
i checked my AMCAS printout today, and after weeks of patient waiting, it finally shows a 'processed' date: 8/7/01 (i didn't look at it yesterday). i even have the little marks next to my grades. for the record, my MCAT scores still appear on the printout. no verification email yet, although i've gotten three copies of the 'you have successfully submitted' email in the past two days.
