Hi Everyone!

My school does two odd things for courses and am looking for guidance after conflicting info from AMCAS:

- for science courses with a lab we get a four credit course entry (ex: general biology I) that includes both our lab and course grade w/ four credits hours and then a separate entry for the lab (ex general biology I lab) that is zero credits with the grade ‘LB’. Do I enter this LB grade into AMCAS?

- for a second course with a seminar we get a four credit course entry (ex: history I) that includes both our seminar and course grade w/ four credits hours and then a separate entry for the seminar (ex history I seminar) that is zero credit hours with the grade ‘NG’. Do I enter this NG grade into AMCAS?

Thanks all!!

I do not know the exact answer to this question, but I recently called the AMCAS helpline and they helped me with all of my questions so far. I'd highly recommend calling them, but be prepared for a long wait time (I think they have a callback option).

You could ask the pre-health professions office at your undergrad institution if they are responsive. Presumably it would be an FAQ for their advising population. Just in case.
