I currently have 500 hours in an EC but will have 700 by the end of this summer (August).

I'm submitting my primary in June and will have an MCAT score by July 21st. Can I put that I have "700 hours" on AMCAS since thats how much I'll have by the time my application is fully transmitted? Would this be seen as dishonest since I have 500 at the time of submitting the primary in June?

If you do that, then put a note in the written portion saying the 500 hours are for now, the extra 200 are future hours. That's what is recommended and what I did. With COVID, the last 2 months of both my main volunteering gigs were canceled, but since I put the future, they are covered.

Another option is to use the Repeated feature on AMCAS, you can list Completed hours separately from the Future hours. This will work if you use the same month for the End Date of the first span and also the Start Date for the second span. (Do not try to enter a future month for the beginning of the second date span, as the program will refuse to Save it.) Both date spans will appear in the header of the same Activity box.

Another option, if you are not sure of ongoing participation or a sure End Date, is to add a comment at the end of the narrative space that you "plan to continue for x hrs/week through the fall term," or somesuch that is vague.

Keep in mind that your Contact may need to validate the timeframe of involvement.
