wiill amcas wait until april 2003 mcat scores are out and then send apps to the med schools? will med schools see april 2003 scores if we submit the primary now?

should i resend a transcript after my schoool posts spring 2003 grades?

I have 30.5 semester units of AP credit. I also have 24 semester units of Community College Credit that i took during high school. That is a total of 54.5 units coming into my freshman year at Berkeley. So for ALL my AP credits, I state that that was freshman status (according to the directions given to us) and all my Community College i state it as high school status, however, my freshman year, i took 17 units, so that by the end, i was considered a junior?! please help me.

schools only gain access to AMCAS about July 1st ie after MCATs are in from April.

Transcripts are updated until submission occurs. Any transcripts sent after submission are ignored and not updated.

Like envelope, I have some questions about the AMCAS too.

I have looked at the SDN AMCAS thread and have emailed AMCAS too and gotten a reply but I am still confused about these things:

1) Do we put G for the OT grade for AP credit? I thought that is what AMCAS puts down for it. Also, my AP credit is all in supplementary hours and so in the GPA Table, under supple. hours it does not designate how many AP hours?

2) Do we put down an entire semester of classes we might take in the future or just the classes we know for sure we are going to take -basically I know for sure I am taking these three classes but I don't want the med schools to get the mistaken idea that I'm only taking three classes in the fall?
Or do we just put down classes we are planning to take to fulfill in the future to fulfill requirements?

Also with premed requirements, is the bio lab requirement fulfilled
if lab is part of a bio class? Also does bio lab requirement have to
be fulfilled your home institution and not some school you took summer classes at?

3) I took the MCAT and everytime I put in 1 for MCAT's taken, it says I have taken 0 MCATs.

I hope I did not confuse you and that you can understand my questions. Thank you for your time and help SDN!

1. I'll let someone who had AP credit take this (but I think the answer is S or G depending how it is designated on your transcript)

2. Put down your estimated schedule. Schools know schedules will change. You must update them of changes but unless you suddenly stop taking a pre-req it will likely make no difference.

Bio lab included in the bio course is fine as long as you have 8 total credit hours for 1 year of bio including lab. It doesn't matter where you fulfill it but they may ask you why you did them at a different institute if it is obvious you went to a much easier school do get your pre-reqs.

3. I believe the # MCATS issue will resolve after submission.

I HAVE AN AMCAS QUESTION TOO!!!!!!

Is there space for certifications?

I am certified in personal training, since it was my job for awhile. And CPR and scuba (ok so that one is irrelevent....) but what about certifications??

thanks!

Thanks tBw for your response.

To CPR person, I think you should put it under personal experiences under honors, awards... I think it would look good there
