I am having a hard time figuring out how to put my military education down for this section. I have my transcript from the Community College of the Air Force. In the AMCAS it doesn't have this school listed. So do I put "US college - non main program" and then fill out the modified name box? If you've had a similar experience, what did you do?
Any suggestions would be appreciated...and yes I have read the manual

Remember that you have to put ALL military training on AMCAS regardless of if you received credit or not. In the Army we received AARTS transcript which lists all my military schools that I attended. I had to put this on AMCAS stuff like basic training, NBC school, etc.. although NONE of these transferred to my undergrad. I know the Navy has the SMART instead of AARTS and I do not know what the Air Force has. Go to the aamc.org and read this info under the pdf file.

It is on page 44 of the huge pdf file for amcas 2005.

Transcript Available If a transcript is available directly from the military school or program listing individual courses with letter grades (e.g., A, B, C, etc.) and credit hours convertible to semester hours:
? Include the military school or program in your list of colleges attended.
? Enter course data as it appears on the transcript.
? AMCAS will include this course work in AMCAS GPAs.

If the transcript does *not* list individual courses with corresponding grades and semester hours (or course units convertible to semester hours but the program attaches ACE credit recommendations to the transcript, you must:
? Include the military school or program in your list of colleges attended.
? Prepare a transcript request to be sent to the military school or program. Handwrite on this request that the transcript should include ACE recommendations so that our Records office will know to expect this information and the school will know to send it.
? Enter course data as it appears on the ACE recommendations.
? Indicate "Pass/Fail" as the Course Type and select "P" as the AMCAS grade.

Thanks for the advice. For the air force I simply have my CCAF transcript. It has everything listed appropriately, except for the individual places where I actually did the training. It just has it down for one location, but that's fine...makes it simpler for me.
