I'm trying to figure out what to do for a postbac right now, and one thing I'm kind of hung up on is the fact that I've already attended four different colleges.

Does applying through AMCAS reduce the cost of sending transcripts significantly? I think I've read that, at least in the primary AMCAS application, you only need to send one copy of your transcript regardless of how many schools you're applying to. But for secondary applications, would I need to send another copy of my transcript? Or will I only ever need to worry about paying for one copy of each transcript from each school?

I know it wouldn't really make sense, but that's college applications for you.

You only send your transcript to AMCAS. I don't know of any secondaries that ask for a transcript again, since all that is submitted and verified with AMCAS. The only time you'll have to send transcripts again is for an update to your schools after Fall semester (optional) and a final transcript to the school you choose at the end of the cycle.

You don't provide your transcripts to medical schools until you are accepted. Everything is done through the one copy you sent to AMCAS up until that point

Awesome, thanks for the replies. This will make it a lot easier to plan a postbac since I was concerned about having to go back to one of the places I've already attended, just in the interest of reducing transcript costs.
