Currently, I submitted some secondaries and I noticed that there were errors in when I took classes. So I looked at my AMCAS application PDF and I noticed that they changed HALF OF MY ACADEMIC COURSES AND NOW MAJORITY OF MY CLASSES ARE IN THE WRONG YEAR AND I HAVE A GAP SEMESTER ON FALL 2020. My application literally reflects that From 2019-2020 (my freshman year) I was both a freshman and a sophomore. And this trickles down. No joke, they incorrectly changed 19 of my classes. Originally, I inputted them all correct and they had my transcript and still put everything incorrect.

I do not understand how it went through verification like this. And it was sent to ALL OF MY MEDICAL SCHOOLS. Now I am stuck writing all of these emails trying to explain and emailing AMCAS about what is going on because they completely messed up my academic timeline.

I am stuck and I feel defeated. Please, if anyone has advice or was in a similar situation, please help.

Does this appear in your AMCAS portal? (You say it appears on your PDF, but I want to confirm this is actually what AMCAS did and not a weird error when loading your data into their PDF template.)

Are your prehealth advisors (from your SMP) helping you stay calm? You need to contact AMCAS to correct this, not all of the medical schools.

I have contacted AMCAS about this issue and I am just waiting their response. I submitted an academic change request but I’ve also emailed all of the schools since some of them have emailed me and I know that they are looking at secondary and primary right now, so I just wanted them to be sure that they know this.

Please halt in your actions to emailing all your schools until you hear an explanation from AMCAS.

READ especially pages 32 and 33 of the AMCAS Guide:
Academic Year and Term
These fields show the Academic Year and Term during which you took a course. The AMCAS academic year begins in the summer or fall and ends in the spring.
Courses taken in the summer or fall should be entered with the contemporaneous calendar year, and courses taken in the spring should be listed in the previous calendar year, even if your institution considers them as part of the upcoming academic year. For example, if you take a
course in spring 2017, you should enter it as the 2016-17 academic year, even if your school considers it as part of the 2027-2018 academic year.
Year in School
The guidelines below will help you determine your Year in School. The AMCAS program is not responsible for any
processing delays or incorrect GPA calculations that may result from incorrect Year in School assignments. If the
Year in School designation greatly exceeds the ranges specified below, the program may reassign statuses.

(see the guide for more details- this last part means if you had far more than 35 hours assigned to your freshman year, usually due to dual-enrollment or CC classes), AMCAS might assign some of those hours to sophomore year.

As long as all your classes and their grades appear on the AMCAS list, don't let this tiny detail affect your upcoming work.

Thank you for your input. I’m regards to what you said, there was still errors in regards to the year assigned to my classes. So I will be awaiting for the email reply from AMCAS.

And in regards to sending emails, I have already sent emails to the schools in which I submitted a secondary to. This was my mistake and I should not have made a rash decision in the heat of the moment. I believed I was being safe in doing so, but I very well may be incorrect. Whatever happens will happen I guess. I’m just going to have to deal with it

This appears in my AMCAS portal, not just my application PDF.

Okay. then follow the protocol in the AMCAS applicant guide to request the corrections as wysdoc noted.

Your emails to the schools to let them know the transcript verification requires a review is a natural response, so I don't think it's a big deal. As long as the class names, grades and calculated GPAs are correct, they can proceed.

I agree that the issue is going to be how they put your courses into the right "buckets" based on how many course hours you completed; basically, it doesn't always get classified when you took the class.
