AMCAS Transcript Question

I have a semester of two clinical classes from a hospital-based RN program that doesn't appear in the AMCAS school list. Do I need to send a transcript from that place? (Switched from nursing, now a regular college student).

Yeah I called AMCAS about something similar. If it was post high school you do have to send the transcript. But I would call them,tell them your exact situation and they will able to further advise you.

Thats not quite correct. if the RN program is an accredited post secondary college than you need it. Otherwise, you do not.

They aren't capable of granting any degrees, only diplomas preceding licensure exams such as NCLEX.

so RN certifcate? I thought all those programs were gone. Were you in an RN program or CNA/MA? The later may be considered technical or vocational training and not required. AMCAS instruction now reads transcripts "every post-secondary institution," where it used read accredited. So on the side of caution, so if it was towards RN, yes include it

Just saw this reply now- it was an RN certification program at a hospital-based school. I completed "NURS 100" and "Nursing Math," both taught by RN educators. You graduate with a certificate and allowance to sit for NCLEX.

Interestingly enough I called the AAMC today and they instructed me not to send one after I described the school and classes I took.

hence why I said probably not in my original answer but my risk adverse nature errs on the side of caution. But AMCAS has answered it so you havent any issues here
