AMCAS Verification question for delayed transcripts

I submitted my application the exact moment it opened, but they requested a transcript from another university, which I forgot to check for. Am I back in the line of the verification process, or is my spot still being saved, and they just need to wait for my transcript to come in? It will take about 7 business days from now for it to arrive there... Thank you all.

You don't get put "in line" until all your transcripts are in. I had to deal with this last year, also expect them to take additional time between when your transcripts arrive and when they are marked received as well.

Definitely. They're only three days behind right now but I'd expect it to get worse as we get into the heavier parts of the cycle.

I have a related question.

One of my colleges sent out my transcripts on 5/29. AMCAS still haven't marked it as received yet.

This school is reasonably close to DC.

Is this normal?

One of my colleges sent my out on 5/28 and I received the confirmation 6/4 around noon. According to the email, they received the transcript 6/2. I'm on the east coast too, so I'd give it another day or two.

well first, I would make sure that your college actually sent out the transcript that day, and that they included the transcript request form. I had faxed one of my colleges two weeks ago and then found out earlier this week that they never sent out my transcript -__-

My college told me that they sent the transcript along with the request form on May 29th

"AMCAS is currently marking as RECEIVED transcripts delivered on June 2, 2014."

So it wouldn't get marked as received today unless it was delivered on June 2. If it got received today, it won't get marked as received until next week.

Hey all, I called AAMC twice for two different application helpers, and they both said I still hold my spot in line and will be verified as soon as they get my second transcript, meaning I am still in the first day of queues. Thank you all again.

That's not how it's worked in the past.. let us know if that actually happens or if those AAMC employees were mistaken (wouldn't be the first time in my experiences..).

My school is VERY close to DC (not the main one, but my "post bac" school), and the transcript was sent on 5/29. I included the transcript request form and wrote an explicit instruction telling my school to include the form.

I'll call AMCAS next Monday.

Did you sent our your transcript request/AMCAS form to your university a month ago?

Contact your university to find out when they sent out your transcripts to AMCAS. Usually, universities keep a record of this.

This can definitely be a possibility

But this school is less than 300 miles from AMCAS's address in DC, so it really shouldn't take more than a day or two even with standard mailing.

AMCAS already received my transcript from my state school, which is over 1000 miles away!

I would probably assume the worst at this point and get another one sent.... Mine was sent May 22nd and my status still hasn't changed. I sent another just in case and it was sent out 2 days ago. Although now I'm starting to regret not doing overnight service so I could at least track it.
