amcas work/activities

I'm just finishing up amcas and I have a few spaces left for the work/activities section. I graduated this year and i'm taking a year off. I decided to do some volunteer work during my time off because I havent done much yet and I was wondering if I can include the volunteer job i'm going to be doing this next school year down on amcas even though I havent started yet because I feel that it will add a lot to my application. Any imput would be appreciated!
