...on Michael Jackson's death. LOL.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/06/26/jackson.drug.interaction.caution/index.html

"Experts recommend that people who take multiple medications tell their doctors so that nothing that would interact is prescribed later. Patients should also get all of their prescriptions filled at the same pharmacy so their drug information gets stored electronically and pharmacists can review possibilities of interaction before dispensing a new drug to a patient."

Michael Jackson's death is nothing to "LOL" about. No one should be LOLed at, especially when they die.
Hopefully we can learn something from what happened here and start taking drug abuse and drug interactions more seriously.

I don't think the OP was laughing about MJ's death but rather at the irony that it was an article on his death that mentioned something good about pharmacists.

I LOL at people all the time (or at least LRHI [laugh real hard inside] at them).

Yeah - and no patient taking more than 3 drugs has ever had an interaction...

Drug interactions are tools - just like other dosing strategies. It is good that it directs patients to ask questions - but many DDIs patients will simply have to live with.

How about an article breaking that down?

Nah, I say $25 transfer gift cards are much more important than that

$25? that's cheap. we got 30s here and the most i've seen is 50. but that was for heb on a transfer rx which was mailed out to people that just moved into the area supposedly. they say heb used some utility company's new customer list...
