I'm taking this video with a whole truck of salt.
I only watched the first minute, but doesn't anyone see that a lot of the story is missing?
Sure, she is 50. Yes, she has 11 kids. and yes, she attends Harvard... however...
Who here thinks that she only made their kids breakfast that one day to be on the news?
Dropping out of college with 11 kids, some of them still at home. Unless "working online" pays six figure salary, or the husband is a millionaire... how does she have the money to own a gym?
If she had that kind of money, it means I wouldn't be surprised if she has multiple nannies, and drivers to drive the kids to school (because that Nissan Altima/Maxima isn't going to fit all 11 of them)
On top of that, while not to say what she is doing isn't great, and Harvard is Harvard, but to my understanding, Harvard's Extension program (along with many other prestigious school's "evening/online programs") are a pay and come type of deal, not a, only if you are top 1% with 2400 SAT scores type of deal....
So, inspirational, yes, but there is a lot missing from this story for me to go "WOW"
Also, the fact that she travels half way across the country, wether she flies or by car, is a lot of money each trip. Even if you drive and in gas, expect to run about $300+ round trip.
She could just have easily gotten a similar education at a closer university, yet she decided on Harvard because it is "Harvard"
I'm impressed with her motivation and her ability to juggle a variety of things, not at all impressed with her "achievements" if you will, or intelligence, at least from the video alone. If she was truly brilliant, she wouldn't commute 4k miles to attend a school. She went there for the name, to be on the news. Bravo.
