The brits didn't put computers in these vehicles for a long while b/c they couldn't figure out how to get the computer to leak oil.

But the way I see it, if its leaking that just means there is oil in it, keep driving.

I wish you and your family the very best although I feel sad that you are changing careers because I always thought that you were a great anesthesiologist but I am confident that you will do great in any other field you choose.

was kinda ignoring this thread until now since it seemed someone was whining about something, but glad to see youre back! First off congrats on your son! As long as you and your family are happy and healthy all is good. Not sure what went down, but I can guess as there was a friend of mine who had a similar experience. I sometimes wonder if it was better if he switched to another field. time will tell. Sorry to lose you in the field though. From your posts it sounds like you would have made one hell of an anesthesiologist. Well at least you can show them proper airway management in the ED.
 
You can guess what went down. Because, thats what went down. It blew big time and it was fast. Like, lightening fast. Scary. It wasn't one of the typical culprits either. I gotta be all special and different ya know. Lotta good that did me. My fancy schmancey brain o' mine that is.

Usually around the 8-10 week point they start sleeping through the night, so hang in there.

Check out a book called Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. Made our lives infinitely better, kid........
 
Holly ****, I just noticed you've been back Vent! Very cool.

Like others have said, you'll kick a..s in whatever you decide to go into. That's the best thing about medicine, the options. And so many of them are very cool. So, all will be good.

Vent, Good to have you back. Congrats, with the little one. As for dealing with the long nights...ditch the baby monitor as soon as you can. I'm a firm believer that kids are like trees....they don't make sound if no one is around to hear it. My wife disagrees but I've been known to turn the buzzer off (while she's asleep) about 2am for a little peace and quiet. I usually turn the thing back on when I get up around 5. Works like a charm. A couple of hours of uninteruped sleep go a long way. Best of luck.
 
I first heard about COD4 on this thread and then through guys in my program. I bought $750 worth of XBOX gear to play COD4. First video game I played in 20 years, now I run around with a group of Residents and other friends relieving stress and improving my K to D ratio. I think it is directly helping me with residency by distracting me from Anesthesia and 65hr/wks. Balance is good ( please reference JPPs photos any evidence).
