Greetings,

Looking for some quick advice:

As a 3rd year DO student, I completed a 4 week elective in Anesthesia and received 2 letters: 1 from the chief, & 1 from another attending anesthesiologist. These letters came from a hospital without an anesthesia residency. They both got to know me very well and have put in calls for me at their programs.

I have submitted the following:
1. Letter from Chief of Anes. above
2. Critical Care Letter
3. IM letter from our director of medical education

I could use either of these letters remaining to round out the 4 on ERAS:
1. Surgery
2. Attending from the Anes. month above.

Do I go ahead and submit the 2nd Anes letter now (ERAS opened today)?

Or do I wait until I complete a 4th year rotation (earliest date for obtaining a letter would be October 28th). I'm worried that I may miss out on interview invites by the time I get a new letter.

I appreciate any input. I read multiple threads about LOR's before posting, but needed some specific advice.

Letters are the last thing you have to worry about my friend. You will start to get interviews even if all your letters aren't in. You already seem like you are set. It will not make a big difference if you have two anesthesia letters or one. Any other questions pm me...
