Another Columbia question

Hey guys,
the columbia app automatically gets rid of my first paragraph indentations for the essays. Should I not indent period? Is it just me that this is happening to?

same thing - i wouldn't worry about indentations etc... just hit enter twice (only 2 characters) and that should make it clear enough. boy i should probably get on top of that columbia app!
