Should I list various one-off experiences?

for example
-teaching vitals to first years (one day experience that is usually taught by residents...)
-flying across the country (funded by the school) to promote the school at an AMSA conference
-and random experience like contributing photography to the school to aid the interview process and for populating the walls

None of those experiences really helps your application. I would leave them off, so that you don't dilute the really important stuff. Remember that if your application is really long, I get really bored and start skimming.

If I were looking at an application then (a) I would think, why did this person list these items? Is he so insecure about the rest of his application that he thinks these might help? and (b) I would skim through the rest of the application even more quickly than I skim through the others.
