Another fake profile...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
yah, that's pretty lame. i can't believe they took time to do that.

HAHHAHAHAH oh man i thought that was hilarious! i mean it's so obviously fake - i think it's funny. i thought it was purposely making fun of people who make up profiles?

Its amazing the things that people do...and these are people that want to be physicians that are supposed to have empathy for their patients, care for them, etc. Its almost like "hatin'" in the rap game...

why you wannnaaa playaaa hate on me?

Well, I guess its more like making fun of URM in a mean way, etc...I think its disrespectful... I agree, some people! 👎

LOL, yeah me too. It's because there were all these schools and then boom, Harvard. "Oh my gosh, I'm going to be a doctor!!!"

Unfortunately, it's not just making fun of profiles but sending a racist message out as well...not cool =[

edit: I'll do the "some people" thing too

...Some people... 👎

wow i totally missed the URM thing. oh well.

it was amusing, people take life way too seriously on this forum, get a sense of humor

I agree.

I really hope that SDN is not representative of the future doctors of America... because many of the users on this site seem to have a stick stuck up their @$$.

A sense of humor, whether it be dry or bizarre, is one of the most endearing qualities a person can have. I seriously hope that the doctors whom I will be seeing and working with in the future will have a quirky sense of humor.

nah, way too derogatory and unoriginal to be amusing.

now for some REALLY good humor, please refer to darkside's post in the "how common is common sense" thread... 😀

yeah i still think it's funny

I like my humor totally random...as many people can probably tell from my posts over the months =]

But yeah, I seem to notice an over-emphasis on trying to stay "serious" and "professional" in many situations where it's not necessary. If you can do your job right and have a good balance of humor and goofiness as well(Like Jim Cramer of Mad Money hahaha) -- more power to you!

it's just not funny. I'm not offended, but it's pretty stupid, and it affects the averages on MDapps, which is annoying.

who knows, maybe she slept with her interviewer

It can be offensive. The greatest issue, I think is, that part of having a good sense of humor and asking others to have some humor, is also having the discernment to know there is a time and a place for everything.

mdappls is not the place to joke around like that, what use will there be of it if some legion of tools decide to make up profiles for the sake of bringing humor into the medical career?

some people!

"Having a sense of humor" does not equate to laughing at other people's expense, particularly if the "joke" is cruel and hurtful. One thing I've noticed is that so many of the people who cry, "But it's just a joke! Where's your sense of humor???" don't think that the exact same joke is nearly as funny when it's made at THEIR expense. I wouldn't say this profile is horribly cruel, but it is definitely juvenile. 🙄

You can't get get accepted to Harvard before March anyway if you're applying for 2006.

I do agree that it's just stupid in general though. 👎

Am I missing something, because when I log in it's a blank profile. Or did I just give up the joke? I'm an ass.

Shredder, I couldn't beleive what the donald did last night! Gripping!

Alright then, I am taking back the ass comment.

It seems they took down the profile. So now I have no clue what it said since I didn't see the post before.

But, on a side note.......As a general rule of thumb, it is safe to say I agree with Q's comment about not laughint at someone else's expense.

As long as we are laughing with you and not at you. 😉 😉

Ok, I'm going to go back to not being soooooooo sappy.

I will actually take either, just so long as people are laughing. Most of the time when people start laughing AT me, I just start laughing too. Just glad to be of service!

i didnt catch it but i read the recap--thats great, those silly girls. mixing things up always makes for good entertainment. trump knows best--cant let ppl off the hook for being inept. 1 less episode now though? interesting

ill make the tentative assertion that every joke comes at the expense of something. some people just have higher/lower thresholds than others

And a stuttering B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-BOOOOOOYYYYYAAAAAA to Turkeyman and all the Cramerholics in Cramerica. (Ok, maybe a little overboard. NOT!)
I've read all his books, listen to his radio show, and watched Mad Money since it started. Damn good I say. I just wish he went into specifics sometimes on valuation when reports on reading the 10-K's.
