Curious*****does anyone know about the method of doing a GPR or AEGD then working 5-8(?) years in a state that accepts these programs for licensure and then getting reciprocity in another state later? just wondering if thats true.

since before 2000, dentists with foreign degrees have been practicing with foreign degrees.

anyone?

No. Foreign trained dentists who acquired State dental licensure via State-only dental board exams are only allowed to practice in that State (sadly). The reciprocity only works for those who have dental degrees from the ADA-accredited schools.

so what happens to those dentists who have been practicing for 8+ years in another state who wish to move and got in before 2000?

i guess they are stuck with where ever they are as of 2000, right?
