PAT: 20
TS: 23 (98.6%)
AA: 23 (98.4%)
GPA for both overall and M/S: 3.10
I was initially planning on applying fall 2008 but wanted some advice to our SDN users who have some idea on admissions. Realized I am late with most schools but did some research and realized NYU (Top choice) and Tufts still accepted application for fall 2007. I understand my GPA is low but it is a composite of over 200 semester credits with over 160 being basic to advance science including auto, physio, medchem, pharmacology I, II, III.,. and etc.... I am a nontrad in that I have a pharm.D. and served 4 years of active duty as an U.S. army pharmacist. Have tons of experiences. Lecturer for a major pharmaceutical association for a while. Why the change? B/c Wanted to have total professional autotomy and wanted to learn a do something with my hands (actually performing a task that require a skill) Why not medicine, will my OMS experience (orthognathics) as a patient just turned my interest to dentistry... Did not know how much dental service makes a difference in patients lives and did not want to run a risk of doing IM and FP. Thanks in advance, I would appriciate your sincere and realistic answers...
