A few weeks ago, I posted a thread about the difficulty of getting into a Carribean school. There were mostly positive responses, which encouraged me. Now I'm at the point where I've just about finished my pre-req (I'm now finishing up Org 2, and Phy 2) and am going to start studying for the MCAT. However as many of you have experienced this is usually the most anxious time in a pre-med student's life, and as a result comes the, "what are my chances question:"

Major: Chemistry
Overall GPA: 3.6
Science GPA: 3.3 (C+ in O chem 1 and C+ in Bio are hurting it the most, but I will try to show improvement in higher level classes)
E.C: Pre-Med Club (AMSA), will take a leadership position next semester.
Volunteer at university hospital: Radiology and ER so far
Research in stem cells last semester, and will continue until I graduate
Member of a fraternity that does many community service projects
Next semester will probably be a staff member on Student Gov

Granted, I've only completed 82/120 credits required and still have P. Chem 1 +2, Analytical Chem, Inorganic Chem, Instrumental Analysis and Biochem still left, which could probably change my GPA for the best or for the worse. But, at this point what do you think my chances are for getting into one of the big 4 Carib schools? I know the MCAT is still yet to come and that is major, but if suppose I do well in that (29 or higher) am I pretty much good to go?

I think this all depends on your MCAT scores. I'd even be quick to say that if you get a mark of 30 or higher you might even be able to get into a US school, especially DO.
