Make a list of your EC's and shadowing and hours in each so that you don't really have to think about it later on. Also, I would have your grades ready to input into the app. That would make it pretty easy. Other than that there is really nothing you could do to further the process right now. When the system does go live, input your undergrad school and print out the barcode sheet and send it with your transcript right away.
Other than just prep work, just relax and as long as you finish in a timely manner,
Good luck with everything😎

Meaning that when you submit, it is not like AADSAS sends it out right away, they actually do it by mailing dates. You could contact them to find that date out so that you know exactly how much time before the first mailing date. At least this is how they have done it the last three times I have used AADSAS.......

Good luck with everything😎

hey,

if i send out my app june first week and take my DAT retake first week of July, is that considered "early" ?

Well, if you are just retaking your DAT, if you send out your app the first week, that would be real early. Then retake your DAT and submit the scores when you have the chance. In any event, getting it all submitted by the first week of June for AADSAS and then July for your DAT retake is early.

********Ok, I actually just got off the phone with them and re-tract my previous statements that there are mailing dates. Must have changed that recently as I was told this in previous years that this was the case.
Now, as soon as you submit, the schools can see you app electronically. Then AADSAS also sends your app to each school physically. Interesting... Good luck in any event, apply early and you will be fine!*********

thank you so much! is the process between schools uploading transcripts and whatnot usually fast? I'm going to be on my college campus the day applications open so if i go to the registrars the day of with my forms it should probably expedite things, then i have to hope my lor writers are fast uploading their letters. are there any additional questions as part of the aadsas that require preparation? thank you so much for the help, this is my first and hopefully only time applying to dental school. congrats on buffalo btw 🙂

Here is everything you need to prepare for the AADSAS application come June:

Uploading transcripts takes a couple of weeks because your school needs to mail them to the AADSAS HQ by snail mail with the matching form. Also, AADSAS will need to verify your transcript with the courses youve entered into AADSAS, which can take a while. AADSAS will snailmail your application to the schools, they will have access to it via the portal as well. However, some schools only look at your application once they've received the paper copy.

Transcripts from your school along with transcript matching form available on application portal.

It seems like there is a good 6 week delay with AADSAS in the summer, since thousands of applicants are all sending in their transcripts, DAT scores, LOR's etc. So it takes a while to process. Get the ball rolling by submitting your AADSAS in the first couple of weeks of June, and then once you're DAT is in, they'll update your file with that and mail you apps out to your schools. If you already have 1 DAT done and are just retaking it, they can submit it with your current scores and then re-mail it with updating scores in July. Either way you should be fine. You may not get a first round interview, but you will definitely still get pre-december interviews with a June-July submission date.

+1👍 Do this and you will be fine. I would have figured that some schools don't look electronically at the apps just because.
GL!:luck:
