Anybody get a thank you letter from Houston after attending the interview? I was surprised to receive a letter about three days later saying thank you for attending.... Just curious if this was common as I did not receive anything from Baylor following the interview.

this tmdsas app seems identical to the aadsas app? Can I copy and paste information over. Not trying to be lazy just efficient. What about the essay (the topics are almost identical) can it be copied? Do i have a shot at a Baylor with 20/20 3.3undergrad from UF in finance, and 3.65science from UWF?

TExas just does not like to take outstate applicants. At least at UT houston, the admission director stated they have like 1 or 2 spots open for outstate residence. Just too many qualified texas applicants too choose from.

From what I have heard as well, they take students from neighboring states like Oklahoma, louisanaa(sp)

I am from Austin and I left in the morning at 6:45 for the 9:30 interview. I got there at about 8:05. Plenty of time to drive down. Save yourself some money and time. It is a nice easy drive down I-35 and gives you time to relax, drink some coffee, etc.

Anyone know the ratio of those accepted to those interviewed for Texas residents? I could not find the total number of appliants interviewed in a given year for any of the Texas schools.

It would be nice to know something about the chances of being accepted, once you successfully complete one or more interviews.

You posted this awhile back but here's what I figure. Houston says they interview around 220 each year for about 60 positions. Baylor's about the same and San Antonio is probably around 300. Logically thinking, these schools are probably interviewing, for the most part, the same group of people. The total accepted in Texas is around 240. So it seems that if you get an interview your odds of getting in are pretty good.

So have done the sweep then, UT san Antonio, UT Houston, and finally baylor. Congrats, the UT houston interview is fun and relaxing, but it is a long day.

I think Texas schools start sending their acceptance letters on or after the 1st! So, 2 more days to go!!!!

Do you guys think that it is possible to receive something on Wednesday or is it more realistic to expect something around Friday?

I don't know about you, but waiting is getting harder and harder

From what I've heard from past applicants, letters are mailed on the first and are received a couple of days later (within TX). I'm thinking people might hear by Friday or Saturday, but wouln't be surprised if many of us didn't hear until Monday. Dang weekends! They're supposed to be on OUR side!!

Same result here, with all 3 TX schools. None of them can disclose that information, so guys/gals, no need to bother calling. We have to wait for the postal mail! 🙁

Now its up to the post man and his feet. All I can say is that I will be the guy waiting at the mail box everytime he rolls his ride up to the house.

If you do call and ask them that stuff also ask if they are sending them by regular mail or certified, etc.

Nice work Trypmo. I feel for your growing anxiety and paranoia, but you have to respect that the TX schools actually stick to the promised Dec. 1st deadline and don't sneak their letters out early.

To tell you the truth, I am just as interested in everybody else's status as much as my own. I have met a good group of people during this process and it is my hope that we all get in this year. If some of you don't make it this year, I will sell you one of my spots 🙂

1 question.

Since the TMDSAS deadline was Nov. 1, basically, if u interviewed before December, you will find out if u make it or not. There will be no 'file is still being reviewed' or 'no decision has been made at this time' crap? It'll either be accepted, waitlisted, or denied, correct?

1. I asked about my status, couldn't tell me or they wouldn't tell me.

2. The letters sent out are they acceptances only? her answer was YES.

They don't send out rejections or waitlist untill a couple of months.
So if you get a letter from UT houston its an acceptance, and you were part of the first round.

Cool, thanks for the info! 😎 I wish all the schools would do that because it makes it so much easier on us -- rather than getting a letter on or near the first and finding it's a waitlist/alternate spot, which seems to be happening to a lot of people.

Nice of SA to wait until 9 a.m. There was some girl in Florida on another thread who got a call at 6 a.m. from UF. I keep checking my phone to see if it is working....
