Hi All,
Here is my dilemma:
My boyfriend will probably be moving out of our apartment to take a job in the Bay Area. 🙁 If this happens, it will be some time in the middle of the summer. I can't afford my apartment alone, so I'll have to find a cheaper place. Most likely, I'll move somewhere else w/in the city and remain here in San Diego. I've been really worried about having to send a change of address to AMCAS when/if I move, but I figured out that I should just get a PO Box and have all my AMCAS stuff sent there(ah ha! very clever, no?).

Ok, now, there is the slight possibility that I may move to the Bay area later in the year, depending on my own job situation. I guess this was all probably unnecessary information but my question is has anyone successfully had their address changed through AMCAS or am I in big trouble?? (Or am i tied to this PO Box for the next year and a half??)

Thanks for your help!
🙂

I changed twice this last cycle and, surprisingly, both changes worked fine with no residual problems. Some schools (ie. USC) would only accept AMCAS changes made through AMCAS. That is, they would not change my info over the phone, so you will probably not be able avoid the AMCAS change. I hope this helps.

Thanks! It does help - it's good to hear some encouraging news about amcas!
Yay!
