Will it help or hinder my chances of getting into a top pharmacy school to get my second bachelors in applied mathematics? I already have a Biology degree (GPA~cumulative 3.0, 3.3 in major) and I would like to complement that by studying mathematics and its application to biology/pharmacy.

It sounds like your interests might be better suited to doing a PhD, but do some research because there might be some field I don't know about where getting a PharmD would suffice. If you do pursue something related to math, than taking more math classes (probably beyond even a bachelors) will definitely be essential so you know enough. However, I think it would likely hinder your chances at pharm school because those classes are difficult and would probably bring your already low GPA down more. You might be able to get around that by applying to schools that only look at pre-req grades. At the same time pharm schools might be more interested in you because you are considering a career outside the norm.

if your intent is to attend pharmacy school and become a pharmacist, i would think this would confuse the admissions committee of your intent. math is really not used at all even though you have to be extremely proficient in algebra and be able to understand how calculus works. i'm not sure how any higher math classes would aid in pharmacy. i would think they would like to see a full time position in the pharmacy field (pharm tech, lab tech, something to do with bio or chem) while killing time after completing your first bs.

on the other hand, it is a personal choice. if you really want to pursue the math bs then i would go for it because you could find out that this is your true calling rather than pharmacy. however, like i said, if you're dead set on pharmacy then i would avoid the superfluous bs degree. lastly, if you just like being in school then maybe consider something more relevant to pharmacy other than math.
