i got a call as well yesterday... for the sec week of aug
does anyone know if they have a bench exam or not?

There is no bench test. I think that they will give you a couple of preps to evaluate its not that difficult as the errors will be obvious. you will be asked to read a paragraph from a text book and interpret in your own words. Finally you will be given two cases, x-rays and study models and will be required to formulate a treatment plan. I think there will instruments that you will need to indentify and check off in a list.
It all looks daunting , but it is not difficult. Hope this helps ..Gl

hi drkooks,
i have a strong feeling that they prefer part 2 taken..i am reading for it..have you taken part2?all the invitations are to students with both parts of the exam taken..

should i submit my part 2 tomorrow before dead line or not ...i did not want to because it is not competitive ...but it seems from what u are saying that is important....

congratulations for the UMN interview.
I think you should send the part two scores to UIC right now.
It is a plus point as if you score low ,you will be better than the peole who do not have it.

it was not bad ...not so good for me either..keep my finger crossed

and some personnel questions

they ask a lot of dental related questions..clinical question s..case diagnosis, treatment plan etc..but quite simple...do not worry..when is your interview...they are nice and will make you feel comfortable...

i did not meet many people..just one person after me..but ive read on this forum about people who have gotten admission ith 83 and 82..but they had a strong application..like part 2 taken..have you taken part 2?
or they are enrolled in a program like AEGD and lots of clinical experience in the usa...on the other hand, people with 90 + score have ben rejected or not got interviews...so, dnt lose hope..apply, but be prepared to retake the exam also..all the best..

Sorry, I was out of touch for a while, had finals, then was on vacation (really needed one 🙂, Now we just had our full 1st week of Fall, it was hectic, very hectic, enjoy the time you have now. The IDDP professors are very busy right now getting us started with our work. WE have a lot of work, will keep you posted. Again, sorry if any of you sent messeges and I did not reply...
