Any way to prevent profiles like webmd, vitals, etc from showing up when googling my name?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The real answer is no. Even if you could control one site there's like 10 of these that pops up when I Google my own name.

Just curious if there is any way to prevent my physician profiles from coming up. Thought I’d ask.
On a serious note.. the answer is no.. You have an NPI.. thats public info. It makes me laugh when people try to protect this. Every time i need my NPI I just google it.. I have it saved in my phone but honestly, it is quicker to google it. Your FDA is not public but your NPI and things tied to it is all public info that you cant block. Your only hope is to quit medicine. Honest question, what info on there do you not like? Mine is tied to various hospitals I work at and some you can dig and find info on medical school / residency. All that stuff can be found on many state medical board web sites as well. Just something to consider.

This is one of the things that always baffle me when a pharmacist calls for my NPI number. They'd save time by just Googling it instead of calling me and having me Google it while they're on the phone. Just a time waster for everyone involved.

You’re worried about patient reviews, aren’t you?

It's pretty ridiculous how anyone can search your NPI number and fraudulently call in a prescription.

They have to be smart enough and frankly calling in a script like an intelligent person takes some effort. I see some docs who hand write an RX and it’s embarrassing. If a doc cant do it well i have little faith that a non medical person can do it properly.
