Any word from Temple?

i was complete first week of september and all i'm hearing is crickets from temple.
 
This must be why there are practically no posts on Temple - no one has heard a peep?!
 
complete around mid july, or whenever the hell their application was first released and still heard nothing.
 
my coworker was accepted at Temple yesterday...she interviewed back in september I think
 
completed in sept., no word yet
 
have they even been sending out interview invites recently? i remember 1 batch way back when but that's it..

Did anyone hear back from Temple? I'm panicking because I was supposed to hear back from them a long time ago
 
I called their office, and was told to send an email to some lady, asking about my status, because I've been complete since LATE AUGUST! Well, I emailed that person about 2 weeks ago...seems like the really give a ****...

I am in the exact same boat! Maybe I should send an email of some kind as well?? (even though it has not apparently had an effect for you so far).

i'd like to send an e-mail too but i highly doubt we'll get anywhere...
 
so far, my experience with temple has been completely different...i was complete in mid-october, interviewed early november, and they told me a decision could be made in as quickly as ten days. adcom cast doubt on the situation though, saying usually interviewers are prepared to contribute to the admissions committee quickly, but some take much longer than others. fingers crossed
 
i've been complete since august, and have not heard anything.
this blows.
 
I interviewed early october, and they're supposed to make a decision within 2 weeks, 3 at the latest, yet I haven't heard a thing from them. I'm hoping my acceptance letter just got lost through the mail... but I'm expecting a rejection letter coming soon because those letters come slowly and quietly whereas acceptances arrive w/ interview/dean's phone calls and cheers.
 
Me five, or eight, or however many we're up to at this point. I was complete in September, but lotsa nothing coming from them (or Drexel, or PSU, or UPenn, or Jefferson...). 😡
 
Do they update on their status page if you get an interview?

status page--> If you contact our office, we are unable to provide any additional, more specific information. You will be notified by email if you are invited for interview. Once we have completed our review, those not selected will be notified by mail (generally late spring).
 
crickets here too....completed in August.

Ew, that is so irritating. I hate it when you send people a polite email, because someone in their office TOLD YOU TO! and they don't even have the decency to write back. I should just send a steaming pile of dog poo next time...might get the message across better. Ha ha...I'd probably get invited for an interview...
 
i'v been complete since early august and no word...however, i did get an email to apply for their school of podiatry....yay.
 
Just got an interview invite about 43 minutes ago.

BTW-I am an OOS.

they sent an email, Im not sure if they also send snail but i only got email so far.

Gpa between 3.8-4.0

I didnt give exact stats because I have some interviews in cali and I dont want them to know about my other invites, other posts i made.

Temple apparantly has 50/50 In state to out of state.
Of those 50% out of state acceptances, they take about 70% from California.

Why is there no love for anyone else??

Drexel takes a huge percentage of applicants from Cali too. WTF!! Not that I have anything against Cali-FORN-yuns ...

What culture shock someone from CA will experience going to school at Temple:laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Aww man, Drexel does that too?

Philly sucks. Why are they giving love to CA? I mean I know a lot of Californians don't get into CA schools, but why can't some school in the midwest accomodate them..

I'm just whining, but NE schools should give preference to people who stay in the NE!
 
i feel as if the california applicants all get screwed over by their UC system and then are forced to go towards the east, which is why there are so many cali kids in the east coast. i wonder how many actually wanted to go east lol...

Dont worry It may not help that much but I seem to be leaning towards declining the interview = an extra spot for you!

THey might get screwed by the UC system, but can't some state like montana, pick em up? 😀

Lol, no, everyone's not ugly.
The neighborhood is bad though. It'll just be a different environment I think. I know personally that a couple people got killed (daytime) only one to a few blocks away from Temple Med this year, not to mention one or two robberies at the medical school from people wandering in.

Plus, sunny LA vs. cloudy Philly? Shrug. Winters? Shrug.


Anyways, despite all I said, I still want an interview invite from Temple, and I would go there! Temple, if you're reading this, please take me.

Yikes, i am definitely declining my interview. I like to go running at night and i am guessing that this place wouldnt be a good place to do that (with me wanting to stay alive and me hating getting shot). Although i like cloudy. BUt i just found that out that they will be opening a new med building in 2009 = construction hassle 2007-2009. Not for me.

I hope they give mine to one of you guys!:luck:
