when i interviewed there in early november, the admission office person said he would try to get some 'holiday letters' out. i was wondering if anyone had received a letter or knew whether they have been sent out yet.

i think jlee said in an earlier thread that the committee just started meeting and that they've admited 3 applicants...we should start hearing news in january.

I interviewed in early Dec. and at that point they told us 3 people had been admitted. They said for us it would be about 6 weeks, plus extra time for the holidays. I know last year they accepted some people right before xmas but it sounded like Janauary from what they said at the interview.

i interviewed Nov 5. They said 6-8 weeks and this week was the 6 week mark. So i'm hoping (please Santa!!!) for a nice christmas gift.

at the interview the admissions director told us it would either be email or phone depending on who got your file.

How about secondaries? How do they notify about those!! I think they lost my freaking file!!

They notified by email for the secondaries. They seem to be doing almost everything by email this year. And I know people who got secondaries really late last year, so I wouldn't give up on them yet.

Secondaries came through email, with a notice saying to go to the website and click on a secondary link. I interviewed on December 10th and had the flu.....there were only 3 of us there and we were told that it would take about 6 weeks but may take longer because of the holidays. By the way, azpremed, we had the same interviewer: Dr. Cho at Shriner's! He was so nice!!!!

I will post my interview comments soon. I have been so busy at work that I have not had a chance to do anything else. If anyone needs help or has any questions, just PM me and I'll do my best!

i doubt we will be hearing anything for the next couple weeks cause of holidays. i just dont see them calling or emailing us until they get back from break. so everyone just chill and have a nice drink and wait mid january 😉

I had Cho at Shriners too.

He is badass isnt he? We talked for around 2 hours...it was great.

Wow, so it looks like everyone from SDN interviewed with Cho. That's really amazing. I was with him over 2 hours also. And I think we would have gone on but he had to meet with a student. The hospital was amazing... so different than the run-down county hospital I did all my volunteering at. Anyway, I hope Cho brings us all some good luck in the coming month!
