I was on the Health Education Solutions website and they bounce all of their consolidation to this organization. Anybody have any experience with them? They are offering the best rate guarantee and 1% decrease in interest with 36 payments during active repayment. 0.25% decrease with direct pay.

Just as a side I was looking into Access group and from reading their web page and talking to their cust. service people as near as I can figure, you lose you eligiblity to have the 1% rate decrease after 36 on time payments if you go into any period of forebarance or deferrement. Kind of bites. This is not the case with Nelnet or Sallie Mae. Sallie Mae offers the 1% decrease after 48 on time payments, and 1% of original financed portion after 33 on time payments that you can take as a check or apply to your principal. In running the numbers in my case I still save something like ~$1000 by going with Nelnet.

So anything anybody knows about this company (Nelnet) would be appreciated! 😀

To all those who have read this...I found out from my financial aid office that Health Education Solutions is a subsidiary of Nelnet. Additionally while they can not outright recommend one company over another they did comment that past experience with Health Edu (Nelnet) has been positive when it comes to interpreting and fixing concerns with former students as they arise.

I would still be interested in hearing any personal experience. Thanks 👍
