but then doing okay?

I've been taking nbme practice tests and scoring in the 230s but I always feel like half of my answers are guesses - is this normal? I have no idea how I'm going to do on the real thing because despite relatively consistent scores on practice tests, I always think I did worse than my score turns out.

Anybody else feel this way? How does one take their score to the next level...

i absolutely feel like this and it scares me too. i remember feeling like i was guessing through qbank for the first 90% of it and still getting questions right, then it stopped being like that and i have no clue why. on nbme's, i took 11 a few weeks ago and felt like it was pretty clear cut which ones i knew and didn't so that made me feel better because i was at least more sure of my score..but then i took 7 and did fantastically but felt like crap during it.

I agree with this, sometimes I do feel like I'm just guessing, but after reading the explanation, I find out that 'yea, I knew that'.

You're scores are consistent, so I guess your ''guessing'' right consistently, so dont worry lol

Everyone. My theory is that if you're not guessing, you're doing something wrong. My best Uworld blocks have been the ones where half of the answers were "Marked," and I just said, "I don't care, I'm submitting it. This was horrible."

qft. Exactly the same for me.

Keep in mind that if you make an educated guess there's a high likelihood that it might be the right answer. I definitely felt like this during my practice exams and for a few questions on my real exam. It hopefully will work out in the end.
