finally got it last night; dont give up hope if you are still waiting, they take their time it seems. I was processed about a month ago. By the way, anyone know how strict their cutoff is? Do they do like 500+ interviews or somethin?

According toe the MSAR, they interviewed 784 applicants for the 2003-2003 first year class for 104 spaces.

at my interview they said 800 interviews...but maybe up to 1000 this year.

man, I had my application processed in early july and I called them and they said that my application had not been reviewed yet. That pisses me off. Do you think me applying md/mba had something do with that?

It may have. They might not want to admit you to their med school if you are not going to get into the MBA program and vice versa. Be patient, it may take longer for you.

No longer waiting. They rejected me today.

3.72 gpa from Emory. 35 on the MCAT. Livin' in Tennessee, not that this matters other than the fact that going to Vandy would have more attractive.

Oh well, no life in the mecca of country music for me. 🙁

I'm just hoping for a state school, though (you guys in Memphis listening?).

What do you guys think of Vandy's new process, 2ary means invite? I know the they "took-our-money and ran" scenario doesn't apply here. But still, is it a good idea?

I'm an august-er. Submitted/verified early July. Haven't heard a peep from vandy...but am pretty sure they will get around to reject me in October.

Is there anyone else who was processed before August still waiting for word? I was processed 7/20 and am starting to wonder if my letter (probably a rejection 😉 ) was lost in the mail. I've had multiple problems with my mail lately, so this is NOT just idle paranoia, I promise!
Do they have a set timeframe on when they are letting people know? Anyone else in my situation?

I was processed 7/29 and haven't received a letter. Maybe they are saving us for late interviews where they only invite us to tell we are on the waiting list at best.

Quite possibly the answer. Glad there's still someone else from July who's waiting.

I thought I read that they were either rejecting or interviewing and that they were making that decision within about 6 weeks from receiving AMCAS. I wonder if they actually do have a hold category or if they are just backed up?

I'm still waiting, but I took the august mcat, so I figure I will be waiting for a lot longer.
