Anyone accepted to only one school?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi guys I wanted to ask your advice. I recently interviewed at 2 schools and I havent heard back from either. At what point do I being to send a letter of intent to the school I want to go to? It's been a little over a week since the interview and some people that interviewed with me have already heard back.

there is no need to send letter of intent. just call the schools and ask your status. if they say you are waitlisted, then send a letter of intent. first you need to find out the decision, then take action.

Much better than me. I've applied to damn near 30 schools and I'm still waiting lol. Rejected from almost all at this point. I must excuse myself. There's a corner that asks for me tears +pity+
I am not sure if you got accepted somewhere. If not, it is defiantly your PAT score. I know this is something you don't want to hear, but you might want to retake again.

No. He applied to ~30 schools and he has been rejected by almost all. I think PAT of 16 is not doing him/her any favor. Than'st my opinion.

Possibly, but @Alpha Centauri got multiple acceptances with a 17 PAT (and one from an Ivy, at that), so I'm not so sure.

Lol. I got a 17 the first time but everything else went up the second time go figure. I dont think a 16 PAT is an issue if I pulled 6 interviews out of my ass... Either I'm crap at interviewing or my gpa isn't good enough. simple as that imo.

Lol ty. Also, stony told me if i didn't retake the DAT, my application would be a good amount weaker and I wouldn't have even interviewed there just some food for thought x D.
Hey Luck, have you heard back from BU yet? Also, when did you interview there if you don't mind me asking?

Sent from my SM-N910V using SDN mobile

I applied to multiple schools because my friends were telling me you need back up, but I honestly didn't send my supplements to most of them except for Tufts, BostonU, and Buffalo. My application wasn't submitted till late September but ever since I only heard from UB and got an interview after 6 days and accepted after the following business day after the interview at UB.
My DAT scores:
21 AA/ 21 Bio/ 21 GC/ 21 OC/ 20 RC/ 22 QR and 21 PAT.
My GPA was 3.8 O.A and 3.7 SA
I did nearly 400 hours of clinical which included 300 hours of medical interpreting and translating in the medical field.
I barely had any research experience. Only 1 credit hours worth of research.
I had a commitee letter from Syracuse University as well.
I have not heard back fromt the other 2 schools yet.

applied to 10 schools. interviewed at 8. 6 waitlist. 2 rejection after interview. zero acceptance. life sucks. i m dying.

I am sorry about that. I hope you get accepted at one or 2 of the schools that waitlisted you. But!
That means your stats are good and your LOR and Personal statements are good...

Your interview skills are not! Which (yeah I don't think I have good skills either, gonna do a lot of mock interviews)
or maybe your attire soemthing they didn't like try to figure out what was that and change it.

Work on that and re-apply this time to 15!

I applied to 22 schools, 2 interviews, 1 acceptance and still waiting to hear back from the other. Theres still hope! Some times no news is good news.

lol that's exactly like me except 21

LBS is getting rejected from basically everything. He needs to turn rogue ninja and hide forever.

Send the letter now. There is no reason to wait. Sending the letter might influence the outcome. (Other applicants might have already sent their letters of expressed their interest in the program.) Do it before all the seats are taken.

applied to 10 schools...2 interviews...1 acceptance!

Applied to 5 schools...3 interviews...2 waitlisted...1 acceptance!

Applied to 10 schools..2 interviews (still waiting on second school)...One acceptance!

Applied to 5 schools.
Accepted to one. Waitlisted at one. Rejected from two. Still waiting from one.

Applied to the 3 Texas schools, interviewed at all three, accepted to A&M and San Antonio, no response from Houston.

Applied to 7 schools:
-2 interviews (turned down one of them & accepted by the other school)
-1 rejection w/o interview
-Complete silence (no interview invite but no rejection lol wth) from the other 4 schools
Which interview did you turn down? Was it after your acceptance?

It was my very first interview invite from UDM. I turned it down then I regretted it because I thought I turned down my only chance... but luckily I got a second invite from another school ~2 months later lolllll

Well I'm glad things worked out for you man!

Applying to dental school is nuts.

Applied to like 15, 3 interviews, 1 rejection, turned down one, and 1 acceptance

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Applied to 11 schools. 1 interview and 1 acceptance. Sometimes it's like throwing a handful of darts; doesn't matter if the other 10 missed as long as that 1 hit the bullseye. Researched all of the schools, found the ones that I would be happy to go to and then applied away.
