Anyone applying to Ferris State University?

Hey, is anyone applying to Ferris State? If so, what is your PCAT and GPA?

I have a good GPA (3.83), but I'm not sure whether or not to retake the PCAT. My scores are:

Verbal 415 74
Biology 404 60
Reading 413 70
Math 424 85
Chemistry 409 67
Composite 413 75

I've heard some people say that Ferris considers anything over 50% to be "competitive". Does anyone know if that's true? All I know is that the average score for this years incoming class was an 82%.

I'm applying to Ferris, too.....I'm going there right now and its the only pharm school I'm applying to this year, so I had better get in! Yeah, I've also heard that over 50% is considered competitive here; on their website, it says that they accepted a 29% composite for 2006. So if you wanna look uber-competitive, then take them again. Otherwise, I think you're golden, especially with your GPA. 🙂

The associate dean (or whoever that guy was) told me that they rank applicants based on chem, bio and stats/calc g.p.a.'s as well as the PCAT.

I have a 3.65 in chem, a 4.0 in bio, and a 3.7 in math/stats and he said I could get in with a 50 percentile pcat, but here's my score:

verbal 92
bio 83
Reading 48
Quant 75
Chem 63
Composite 78

So, I bet your score is fine.

I'm also applying to Ferris. I'm a Michigan resident. A graduate from U of M - Dearborn. B.S. in Biochemistry. 3.85 GPA. 3.84 science GPA. 4.0 Calc II/Stats gpa.

My PCAT scores were:

Verbal - 92
Bio - 92
Reading - 89
Math - 68
Chem - 97
Composite - 94

Writing - 5

I'll personally be stunned if Ferris rejects me. The only negative is I lack pharmacy experience.

I'm gonna be applying but i have yet to take my pcat... scheduled for this jan..... i'm a bit behind because i'm only a sophomore and won't have all the pre-reqs done till april '07... but i figure its worth a shot....
