I am applying currently and have a twin bro that also has applied, he has already been accepted to two schools. My question-is this a bonus for me that he has already been accepted? Does any one have any experience with this. It would be ideal for ust to go together, i was wondering if the addcoms view it this way also....

Are you identical or fraternal? If you share the same level of intelligence-then you will probably get accepted, too  just kidding.

I think it could be a plus-unless your grades are really bad. If your grades are bad, just explain that you are really close and that separating the two of you could be a really bad thing for both of you. Just look at what happened to the Olsen twins. Just kidding again.

My brother will be a year behind me in medical school (he's applying next year) I think the fact that he knows about the school I'll be attending because of our relationship conveys to the admissions committee that he knows what hes getting into and would feel comfortable there.

Its definitely not a for-sure way of getting in. Legacy is waaay over-rated. I applied to the allopathic school my mother went to, and even though my grades were at their average of matriculants, they didn't accept me. Surprise!

i hope you get in with your bro, though. Twin doctors... wow! 😍

Yeap, identicle twins. My grades are pretty good, great if you just count my pre med stuff. I didn't exactly go the route my brother took, I was very nontrad. Had no inclination till i went to nursing school, my brother however cut the usual path, and always said you will be going to med school one day. I just brushed it off, it is amazing how fate plays its roll. We are applying togerther.

Well, good luck. I am sure you will get in. It doesn't hurt to let that school know they are your first choice. :luck:

smurf- yeah, my bro told me about the 1st choice thing, question-I saw on the accepted thread that you took a slot at KCOM, what was you interview like? what is the school like? I just completed my file there, just curious.....btw where is smurfville...jk

Well, I'm probably not going to go there - but thats just because I'm totally in love with MSUCOM and DMUCOM.
I'll pm you - you've got to let me know what you think when you interview there.
Just curious, which school did your bro get accepted to? PM me the answer if you prefer.

there's a set of identical twins in my first year class.

where are you doc, just wondering what things are like for twins in medical school. Got any advise?

i'm a first year at western/comp. as for the identical twins, they're two chinese girls and i don't think they've had any problem...hard to tell them apart though=)
