anyone attended Harvard SHURP?

If anyone did attend or had a friend attend, how did they like it? Was it difficult to get into? Thanks !

Yeah I attended last summer. It's mostly designed for URS, so if that doesn't apply to you--yeah it's tough to get in. The director told us last year that the competitiveness of getting into the SHURP program was about equivalent to the competitiveness of getting into the Harvard PhD program, so you can take that for what it's worth. But it's heavily geared toward those with an interest in getting a PhD with lots of speakers and information sessions on different career paths after you get your PhD.
