Are any of you 2009 applicants attending the open house at Mercer? Just curious. It would be neat to meet any of you. 🙂

I will be there too!! When you guys registered for the open house, did they send you a confirmation email or anything? I didnt get anything at all. I clicked submit and it just went back to the previous page.

I think that's normal. It was like that when I registered for the fall open house last year. I think you can call them an check.

I checked my email today and there was an email from Mercer referring to the open house. I registered about a month ago. It says you can come any time between 4 and 7 for a tour of the campus. I wonder how long I should allow? Does anyone know? I am trying to decide how early I should request to leave from work.

It depends on how much time you would like to spend talking to people. I can't imagine that the tour would take a very long time, just because it's not a very big campus. But, most of the student organizations will have a booth set up, so there will be plenty of opportunities to talk with current students and get a sense of the different types of activities that are available. There will also be some type of food/beverage - I don't know exactly what.

So, feel free to come with questions - we are looking forward to hosting you all!

I want to go .. it's only 10 min from my place.. BUt I have Genetics lecture on that day.. Not sure if I should miss it to go to the open house. Since I am going to interview there anyway one the April, maybe I should go..

Yeah I have chem at 6:30 but I really want to take a look around. I am going to speak to my professor tonight and see what she says.

Jeez, i didnt notice any signs on campus about any Open house on my way to class (But you get that way your 2nd year!! you'll see what I mean). If I can give you guys any advice (if this Open house hasnt passed yet), Attend if you can! Its the only thing I wished i'd have done. It gives you a better feel of the school than just the interview

Ahhh I see. Thank you, thank you. So the Spring Picnic and the Open House are not the same thing. 🙂 I think I'm going to go to the picnic so I won't need to go to an open house really.
