Anyone been given a conditional acceptance?

Just curious if your acceptance letters or anything else has indicated that you are missing either courses, transcripts, etc.

Mine was conditional (though not specific on anything) on "similar academic performance" and sending transcripts from every school I attended showing date of graduating.

What about you? Did you get one talking about specifics? That'd be new to me.

I read a post a million years ago (or maybe it was just a few months ago! 😉 ) that claimed to have gotten an acceptance based on his April (of the year he planned on matriculating) MCAT score being higher. I don't know if he was given a specific number he had to achieve. According to him he was accepted, but it wouldn't be official until the scores came out in June. Who knows?

Kind of. but it stated the obvious. My acceptance letters have said that I am offered a spot in the class and that my only condition was to "complete satisfactorily any pending academic requirements." But that's not really anything out of the ordinary. Obviously I woud need to complete my degree requirements and graduate my undergrad institution before i can go into med school.

i received an offer that was contingent upon my finishing several science and humanities requirements. so to answer the OP's question: Yes.

i got an acceptance that's contingent on the size of my penis... they just want to make sure i can truly live up to their expectations based on the picture i provided in my secondary... i'm telling you, this whole process is clearly about being hot, both inside and out...

I have several friends who had to complete their master's degrees after being accepted and a friend who was told she must cease to pursue her PhD if she wasn't finished before the first day of class. She ended up refusing the acceptance and finished her PhD.

Why didn't the interviewer just pulled down your pants and confirmed this matter during your interview? What kind of picture did you provide in the secondary, and why wasn't it full-frontal in the first place, so that a confirmation post-interview would be unnecessary?

since my secondary picture is the first impression i make on them (i'm sure they don't look at my stats and ec's), i like to test the waters and also tease them a little bit at the same time.

They told me I could get into Med School if I can stop being a South Asian Male. Apparently they want some diversity in college. 🙁

j/k....but seriously it sure is damn hard getting in as a south asian male

South asians as an ethnic group have learned a hard hard lesson -- decades of overachievement in the face of hardships and academic success can lead to nothing but problems...

I'm hoping for a conditional acceptance... as a post-bacc, I'm applying for a linkage in which I'll interview in February and find out in March if I've been conditionally accepted. If so, I'll then have to get a 27 on the April MCAT to retain my acceptance and start in August. I'm soooo nervous about the interview and stuff, and then even if I get it, I'll be all stressed until the scores come out. Nothing would be worse than to get the conditional acceptance and then not get the right MCAT score. Ugh!! 😛

Which post bacc program are you in and which schools is it linked to?

so are you going to withdraw before the truth is known?

I'm in Drexel's post-bacc (the straight-up post-bacc for people with none of the prerequisite classes, NOT the IMS or MSP programs). They have linkages to Drexel Med, Robert Wood Johnson in Jersey, and the DO school in Jersey. I'm going for the Drexel linkage. With the RWJ linkage, you have to take the MCAT first and then they decide- there's no conditional acceptance.
