Anyone call NYU for an interview successfully before?

I have MSSM in two weeks. I want to call up NYU to see if they'll interview me. I'm not exactly a stellar applicant, so should I even bother? Has anyone coordinated with NYU before?

If you present your case politely, you have nothing to lose. The person who answers the calls is very nice and receptive.

does anyone have the number for nyu admission office? it's been more than 6 weeks since i got the response postcard and they haven't informed me whether or not my application is completed. anyone else in this situation? i can't seem to find their number on the website...
