Just thought about it today. Was at a store when the manager came up to the front and I asked as joke when the store would start accepting toilet paper as payment and he whipped immediately around, got super serious and leaned right into me whispering "How much you got??".

I was completely taken aback, this could be the new normal. Perhaps US Dollars are dead, TP is king.

I've heard that some people here have also been buying kitty litter because they were unable to get toilet paper, and that it was apparently a "good substitute". 😱

Perhaps the paper currency in Venezuala will be more valuable now...? (it could hypothetically be used as toilet Paper)

If it makes you feel better, our Australian Dollar has now dropped to a new low of $AU 1 = $US 0.615.
